ChangeAttr 1.00
This programme is freeware. This means You are free to use it or
distribute it (with all files including this file). I accept
no liability whatsoever for damage caused by this programme
or its use.
So much for the legal stuff.
The purpose of this programme is to bulk remove (or set) the
write only attribute for folders AND files. This is usefull
when copying Your backup files from CD since they are by default
write protected.
Now there are two ways to use this programme:
1. You Start it directly by executing the exe or using the entry
in Your start menu.
2. From the right button click (context menu) in Your file explorer
(we get to that in a second).

For the first start You need to use method 1. After You started the
programme it will show You the main (and only dialog). On the left
hand side You find the usual navigation for drives and folders.
In the folder view You'll find three folder symbols: The usual
two open and closed folder and one with a key wich symoblizes
folders wich are writeprotected.
After clicking on a folder its name will appear in the right hand
side of the dialog and the button set attribute will be enabled.
Using the checkbox 'Write Protect' You can either set or reset
this attribute for all folders and files in the selected folder.

In the frame below You will find the option for the second way to
launch the programme. With the checkbox 'Put Entry in Explorer Popup Menu'
You can create or delete an entry in the registry which will
put the ChangeAttr entry in most context menues in the Explorer.
The checkbox below the button indicates whether the entry already
exists. If it exists choose the folder You want to operate on,
click the right mouse button, select 'ChangeAttr' and the window
described above will open with the current folder already selected.

Have Fun
